When the Weather is as miserable as it has been in Perth over the past few weeks it seems difficult both physically and mentally to go out and get some good shots. I know that wet weather provides some great opportunities but I find getting good shots more challenging. You need to think a bit more about what will look good and what will work.
It would be true to say that getting out of bed for a sunrise shoot also isn't as appealing when Perth has just been through its longest "Cold Streak" (two plus weeks of 5 degrees or under each night) since records have been kept in Western Australia.
Which comes to my reason for posting. Are there any places that readers can suggest that are good to shoot at this time of year. I'm hoping to get down to the East Fremantle Sharks Vs Claremont Tigers at East Fremantle Oval this afternoon and get some good wet weather WAFL football photos for the first time this season.
Another image after one of the most remarkable storms in Perth in recent history. This Mother and son took advantage of a clearing of the clouds just before sunset to visit Cottesloe beach, Western Australia and see the aftermath of the storm. I like the fragments of the setting sun that are starting to break through the heavy cloud cover and the "happy" colours of the umbrella.
