Virgin Australia Airlines commissioned Chris Bishop Photography for a photo-story for a piece they were featuring in 'Voyeur' - their inflight travel magazine. The story featured a selection of 'hidden gems' not to be missed when visiting Perth, Western Australia.
Rather than your typical, Kings Park, Elizabeth Quay, Fremantle Markets, that you'd normally get in a travel magazine, the purpose of this was to highlight some of Perth's lesser known coffee spots, bars, restaurants, jazz clubs and entertainment precincts.
Shot on assignment over the course of three days, the aim was to capture these locations not in a sterile, posed way but in an authentic manner with warmth and feeling to the images. We wanted movement, natural light and a sense of depth and sincerity.
Just quietly, we're wrapped with the resulting images!
