This 1940's California Bungalow is being auctioned through one of Perth's leading Western Suburbs Real Estate agents that specialises in the Claremont area. This beautifully presented original home has been seamlessly and tastefully extended to suit a modern families lifestyle requirements.
I was lucky to experience a stunning Sunset and cloud formation that made shooting the exterior of the property easy. For the front photograph, a long exposure allowed me to capture the warm glow of the internal lights and fire an off camera flash into the foliage of the tree which threatened to dominate the sky.
This home is currently open for viewing and more details can be found here.

This shot presented itself after finishing photographing a Claremont property that will be auctioned shortly. After capturing the golden light / money shot for the exterior of the property to be displayed on Real Estate signage and real estate websites such as reiwa.com.au i started driving home and kept looking skyward towards an increasingly colourful sky.
Quickly making a detour down to Claremont jetty knowing this light wouldn't hold out for long i managed to get about 3 or 4 minutes of beautiful warm tones as the sun set over the indian ocean. To make my night complete a lone pelican was also content taking in the spectacular Perth sunset, or perhaps he was keeping an eye on the fishermen at the end of the jetty. Either way it was a nice addition to the photo's composition and made for a nice evening taking in the Swan River.
The RAW file was processed in photoshop with slight saturation adjustments and the Nik Software colour FX pro colour contrast filter to bring out some shadow contrast of the jetty while keeping soft tones in the clouds.
I had pleasure of photographing this house for a family that were reluctantly selling their beautifully renovated heritage home located high on Burt St, Fremantle with views to Fremantle Harbour and on a clear day beyond to Rottnest Island.
The house was stunningly renovated and was a real joy to photograph. But without doubt the biggest "Wow" for me was the master bedroom and those views. To justify these views I had to shoot this room in HDR (Bracketing my exposures to for both the inside of the bedroom and the outside which was a lot brighter). Then in post-production different frames were over-layed to create a well balanced photograph.
